Privacy is central to helping you be more present. enough. is built to keep the most sensitive parts of your focus system on your device.
enough. is a digital wellbeing app built to help you be more present. Privacy is central to that mission. If we are asking you to put down your phone and be where you are, the least we can do is respect your data while you do it.
This policy explains what data we collect, what stays on your device, and how we handle the rest.
Your data stays on your device. enough. is built with a local-first architecture. Your blocking settings, location data, schedules, driving activity, and app usage information are stored on your device and are not transmitted to our servers.
We collect as little as possible. We do not require an account to use enough. There is no login, no email, and no password. You download the app, set it up, and it works.
You pay for the product. We make money through subscriptions, not advertising and not your data. Free users are never monetized through data collection or ad targeting.
The following data is generated and stored entirely on your device. We never see it, collect it, or transmit it.
In-app purchases. Subscriptions are processed entirely through Apple's App Store. We do not collect or store your payment information. Apple handles all billing. We receive a transaction record that confirms your subscription status so the app can unlock Complete features.
Email address (website only). If you sign up for our waitlist or mailing list on our website, we collect your email address. This is used solely to send you product updates. You can unsubscribe at any time. We do not sell or share your email with third parties.
Support correspondence. If you contact us for help, we retain the content of that communication to resolve your issue.
Anonymous usage data. We collect aggregated, anonymous usage data such as crash reports, feature usage frequency, and app open counts. This data is not linked to your identity and is used to improve the app. We use PostHog for this purpose. A randomly generated device identifier is used to group events. No personally identifiable information is included.
enough. requests the following system permissions. Each is required for a specific feature and can be declined or revoked at any time in your device settings.
Screen Time / Family Controls. Required to block apps. This is the core mechanism that allows enough. to restrict access to the apps you choose. Apple's framework ensures that the specific apps you select are never visible to us.
Location Services (When In Use / Always). Required for location-based blocking. enough. needs background location access to detect when you arrive at or leave a saved place and to apply your blocking rules automatically. Your location data is processed on your device and is never transmitted to our servers.
Motion & Fitness Activity. Required for driving detection. enough. uses your device's motion sensors to determine when you are in a moving vehicle and to automatically apply driving mode restrictions. This data is processed on your device and is never transmitted.
Notifications (optional). Used to inform you when a blocking session starts or ends, or when driving mode activates. This permission is optional and the app functions fully without it.
Apple App Store. Subscription purchases are processed by Apple. Apple's privacy policy governs how they handle your payment information. We do not receive or store your credit card or billing details.
Email service provider. If you provide your email through our website, it is stored with our email service provider. Their privacy policy applies to how they process that data on our behalf. We use your email only to send product updates and will never sell or share it with third parties.
Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics on our website to understand aggregate page activity and improve the site. Google's privacy policy governs how they process this data.
PostHog. We use PostHog to collect anonymous usage analytics. PostHog's privacy policy governs how they process this data. No personally identifiable information is sent to PostHog.
Since the vast majority of your data never leaves your device, you control its retention. Deleting the app removes all local data.
For email subscribers, we retain your email until you unsubscribe. For support requests, we retain correspondence for up to 12 months after the issue is resolved.
enough. is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to remove it.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you. Since we hold very little data, this primarily applies to email addresses collected through our website and support correspondence.
